GALA EVENT !!!

In just two weeks a crew of us are heading to the Sasquatch Festival in Washington state. The festival is hosted by the Gorge, a natural amphitheater. This panoramic image of it captures that feel (I hope !!). Check out the line up at this festival at the website.

But the only act I truly care about at this festival is the B-Boyz. I am uber - excited to get a sneak preview of their espionage infused instrumental album "The Mix Up". The first night at the festival is a gala event put on by B-boys. They will be giving us a little insight into what they have been up to in their Brooklyn lab for the past couple of years. This album is a bit different than the likes of their usually fast paced, phat beats and lyrical mastery of the B-Boyz. The "Mix Up", as you can read the track by track review on the mic - to - mic blog, is a bit different even in terms of their instrumental past like "In Sounds from Way Out". From what the review says there is lots of spyness and it is heavy on the Mike D drums. (Oh Boy ! - Can't Wait).

Check out a little sneak peek......

A couple of acts that might be interesting are Bjork and Blackalicious. First, I have never seen Bjork live, but I have heard her in a numerous of settings. Including a fine bbc radio one essential mix, where she ripped some eclectic atmospheric beats on decks, effects and synths. Second, as for Blackalicious I saw him live outdoors in Victoria BC at an awesome venue. The show was off the hook; both Blackalicious and Digable Plants rocked the crowd with their lyrical poetry and jazzy beats. I can't wait to see him outdoors once again !!!

Only a couple of weeks away ! A great venue, great people, great acts, the B-Boyz previewing a new album, the United States of America and cheap beer this is definitely shaping up to be a great weekend.

First Blog Post Ever!!!!!

This is my first Blog ever and I would just like to welcome everyone to my site !!! I will be using this blog to tell stories about my adventures, interests, hobbies and to upload pics for my friends to see.

This first image is of (take a guess) Galileo Galilei. The father of science, a physicists, a philosopher, a mathematician and above all a Catholic. This is going to be the theme of my blog; obviously mixed in with some beats, rhymes and life as well. It would not be proper without throwing in the things I love most !!!!

Enjoy, Peace, God Bless !!!
